So, you want a California state job?
First off you must have at least one acting role in a major movie production, an expensive substance dependence and a manager with a funny sounding French name. If you want to go for state government you have to drive a big SUV, be an activist for “saving the green planet” and have at least one Mr. Universe award.
Seriously though, California can be a tough place to land a job now-a-days. With unemployment at an all time high, foreclosures and vehicle repossessions out of control and a government in denial (no, not the river in Egypt), it’s normal to feel at least a little anxious.
I suppose it would be PC (Politically Correct) if I tell you to keep a positive attitude and an open mind and everything will be OK. Sorry, no chance!
My advice is; run, run like hell! California has the 5th highest unemployment rate in the nation, and the best part… it’s still climbing. Keep in mind that these numbers don’t account for the millions of Mexican nationals’ ten-year “visit” to California. Due to the high percentage of illegal immigrants who don’t file for unemployment, in my opinion, CA has the highest unemployment rate… by far.
So, my advice would be go to North Dakota… No? Too cool for you? Then how about South Dakota, or Nebraska? You can take your surfboard with you and get some… corn-surfing in. These states have the lowest unemployment rates, all of them under 5%.
Another option would be for you to learn how to fly in under the radar: identify the hiring manager, bypass HR (Human Robots) personnel, invite yourself to an interview and then get the hiring manager to step up for you and get you hired.
Yeah, right! Like that’s even possible. Well, this, unlike your Nebraskan corn dreams is absolutely possible. As a matter of fact, there are people getting hired as you are reading this.
Q. How do they do that?
A. They either know how to “get noticed and get offers” or they learned these tricks from someone else.
Would you want to know how to do that? I bet you would!

Once you click on the above link, go to the hidden link in the upper right hand corner and download their latest e-book “Jump Start Your Dream Career” . If you follow the hidden link, you’ll be able to get it free.
In the book, go to page 5 and read the secret tip on how to invite yourself to an interview.
OK, just because you learn how to invite yourself to interviews, doesn’t mean you’ll get hired right away, but it’s a great start. Regardless of whether you are looking for CA State Jobs or any other kinds of jobs, these tricks are sure to give you an unfair advantage over the 1000 or so other applicants for each position.
Kind of scary to think that some of the applicants you are competing against might be using these secret methods, while you rely only on your merits!
Hey! You can also check out a video which tells you more or less the same thing, without putting in the effort to read this article.
